The fact that you have chosen to visit this volunteer section tells us that something or someone has tugged at your heart and you are being called.
Hospice volunteers are people who care.
Hospice volunteers become a friend to a terminally ill patient and their families.
Some are nurses, clergy, or therapists, but most are people who want to help others and their community. People who want to volunteer for Prime Care Hospice do not need special talents; they simply need to be willing to share their time with others.
You may read, pray, hold a hand, feed a pet, bake a cake, give a hug, make a sandwich, write letters, watch TV, play games, touch a heart. You can be as creative as you want. Many patients have no family in the area so spending time with your patient is very important.
Volunteers are there simply because they want to be. Volunteers may also choose to work in the office or help with craft projects for our patients. Either way, hospice volunteers work from their hearts.
To apply to be a volunteer, download the volunteer application and bring it in to our office or scan and attach it to the form below. A volunteer coordinator will contact you within 2 business days.
